Microplate Reader Infinite® M Plex 200 PRO

The Infinite M Plex is a fully equipped multi-mode plate reader with monochromator-based optics that offers free wavelength selection and scanning capabilities. It is a ready-to-use workhorse for all standard absorption, fluorescence, and luminescence assays.

SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer

The SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer is a 4-capillary electrophoresis system with single-base resolution (Sanger sequencer). The four capillaries, the universal polymer, and the anode buffer are contained in a replaceable cartridge that allows for the analysis of 1,000 samples. The system can measure the emission of 6 fluorescent dyes and is currently calibrated for 6FAM™ dye, VIC® dye, NED™ dye, PET® dye, and LIZ® dye.

  • Sanger sequencing with BigDye Terminator v1.1, ~v3.1, BigDye Direct
  • Fragment analysis
  • DNA methylation analysis (Bisulfite sequencing)
  • MSI (microsatellite instability) analysis

The Agilent BioTek 50 TS Washer delivers precise and reproducible results for the automated washing of 96-well microplates.

FastPrep 24 Homogenizer

The FastPrep 24 Homogenizer allows for the simultaneous homogenization of up to 24 soft tissue samples.

  • Soft tissue, e.g., muscle, kidney, spleen, brain, etc. (not for cartilage, bone, frozen samples, etc.) in disposable 2-ml screw-cap vials with ceramic beads (lysis matrix)
  • In combination with a lysis buffer, the use of fresh tissue, or prior preservation in RNAlater (RNA)
  • Extraction of RNA, DNA, and proteins
  • Special consumables are required (MP Lysing Matrix Tubes)

Covaris M220, programmable Sonifier

The Covaris M220 is a programmable ultrasonic device designed for use with isothermal AFA (Adaptive Focused Acoustics) technology.

  • Shearing of nucleic acids for NGS fragment library construction

NanoDrop™ One Spektral Photometer - ThermoFisher

The NanoDrop One is a UV/Vis microvolume (1 to 2 μl) spectrophotometer for measuring absorbance in the range of 190 to 850 nm.

  • Quantification of nucleic acid- and protein samples is possible in a linear range of up to 27,500 ng for DNA/RNA and 400 mg/ml IgG without dilution
  • “Acclaro Sample Intelligence Technology” enables the differentiation of DNA and RNA as well as automatic correction for potential contaminants
  • Determination of peptides (205 nm), proteins (280 nm), DNA and RNA (260 nm), dye analysis (490 nm), gold nanoparticles (520 nm), colorimetric protein assays (BCA, 562 nm; Bradford, 595 nm; Lowry, 650 nm; Pierce 660, 660 nm), and optical density measurement (600 nm)

Qubit™ Fluorometer

The Qubit™ Fluorometer is a fluorescence photometer that enables the quantification of RNA, DNA, and proteins using a two-point regression and the appropriate dye kits.

The TapeStation 4150 is an automated electrophoresis system for the quality control of nucleic acids, succeeding the “lab-on-a-chip” technology (Bioanalyzer 2100)
